About Me
Taissa Castello — Registered Dietitian (CRN-4 25106120, Brazil), specialized in clinical functional nutrition with a focus on gut health and celiac disease. I was diagnosed with celiac disease myself after 9 years of misdiagnosis. This personal experience shapes my practice: I understand what it’s like to live with dietary restrictions and navigate a healthcare system that doesn’t always get it.
I see patients from Brazil and internationally, in Portuguese and English.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really 100% online?
Yes. All sessions happen via video call (Google Meet or Zoom). Telehealth nutrition consultations are regulated under Brazilian law (CFN Resolution 760/2023). You’ll receive an informed consent form before the session.
Do you accept insurance?
I work on a private-pay basis. I can provide receipts if your insurance offers out-of-network reimbursement.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No referral needed. If you have recent lab work, bring it along — but it’s not required to get started.
What about time zones?
I adjust to your timezone. I regularly see patients in the US, Europe, and across Latin America. We’ll find a slot that works for both of us.
How long is the follow-up process?
It depends on your condition. Typically I recommend a follow-up 30-45 days after the first session, then we space out as you improve. The goal is always your food autonomy.
